Alpaca Breeding Book
The Alpaca Breeding Book, Alpaca Reproduction & Behavior is published and is now available online. This alpaca book started out as a reference book for breeders having difficulty getting their females pregnant. As you may already know, alpacas breed different than other livestock. I want to help breeders understand alpaca behavior and how it affects their ability to reproduce. The book has grown into much more as we share over 12 years experience breeding hundreds of alpacas.
I hope you all have many successful breeding seasons and a brighter future raising alpacas. If you have any questions or if we can be of any help you are welcome to visit us on our blog or join us on facebook. Our book is now available in paperback and ebook with worldwide distribution. You can find our book on many fine book retailers sites including Amazon and Barnes & Noble to name a few. I appreciate any input and thoughts about my book, thank you!

AJ's Petite Syrah
Taking pictures of black alpacas can be very challenging at times. Most of the time they look like a black shadow! :)

Thank you Dave...
Thank you Dave...
A big thank you to my husband, Dave, for being an exceptional caretaker. I took this photo after he slept in the barn for about a week with this little cria. With much prayer and God's help, he saved her life!
Happy Father's Day!

Leila our Anatolian Shepherd
Leila our Anatolian Shepherd
Leila is our livestock guardian dog that replaced Sadie when she died. She is an incredibly smart dog and she's doing a fantastic job for us.
Anatolian Shepherds are an old Turkish breed. They were specifically bred to protect livestock and she has proved to be an excellent example of the breed.
She truly is amazing and worth her weight in gold. I've come to love her quickly and I depend on her greatly to protect our alpacas.
