Horse Gifts Too

For the past 15 years I have photographed our alpacas but I also took photos of our horses as well.  At one time we raised paint horses and most of them were crossed with quarter horses.  We no longer raise them but we still have 9 horses here that roam free on 380 acres.  I have many photos so I started to make gifts from the photos.

The following is some of the horse gift collections at Zazzle

We've lowered our prices for the holidays so everything is currently on sale.  To see our designs on more gifts visit Walnut Creek Gifts.  We'll be adding horse and alpaca gifts daily so be sure to check back, thank you for visiting!

Alpaca Breeding Book

The Alpaca Breeding Book will serve as a guide and it will help you get your females pregnant. Our alpaca book includes the many factors affecting reproduction in females and males such as behavior, health, hormones, stress, wormers, weather and more. We also include information on nutrition, breeding strategies, herd sire selection, proven breeding schedule, and pregnancy testing. For the full table of contents visit us on Amazon and look inside the book at The Alpaca Breeding Book.

The Alpaca Breeding Book, Alpaca Reproduction & Behavior is published and is now available online. This alpaca book started out as a reference book for breeders having difficulty getting their females pregnant. As you may already know, alpacas breed different than other livestock. I want to help breeders understand alpaca behavior and how it affects their ability to reproduce. The book has grown into much more as we share over 12 years experience breeding hundreds of alpacas.

I hope you all have many successful breeding seasons and a brighter future raising alpacas. If you have any questions or if we can be of any help you are welcome to visit us on our blog or join us on facebook. Our book is now available in paperback and ebook with worldwide distribution. You can find our book on many fine book retailers sites including Amazon and Barnes & Noble to name a few. I appreciate any input and thoughts about my book, thank you!

New alpaca gifts at Walnut Creek!

We're all excited about our new products!

Several products were made using our alpaca kisses photo. It's really a cute picture of two alpacas kissing. Alpacas kiss by rubbing noses and in this photo I caught a herdsire kissing a new cria (baby) through the fence. The picture is made from a high quality digital photograph. Our products are fully customizable so you can have fun changing the size of the picture or change the style or the text. They make wonderful gifts for any occasion!

Thank you Dave...

thank you
Thank you Dave...

A big thank you to my husband, Dave, for being an exceptional caretaker. I took this photo after he slept in the barn for about a week with this little cria. With much prayer and God's help, he saved her life!

Happy Father's Day!

Leila our Anatolian Shepherd

Leila our Anatolian Shepherd
Leila our Anatolian Shepherd

Leila is our livestock guardian dog that replaced Sadie when she died. She is an incredibly smart dog and she's doing a fantastic job for us.

Anatolian Shepherds are an old Turkish breed. They were specifically bred to protect livestock and she has proved to be an excellent example of the breed.

She truly is amazing and worth her weight in gold. I've come to love her quickly and I depend on her greatly to protect our alpacas.
